Gnomeo and Juliet is a full-length computer animated film based on the tragedy of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. A comedic take on William Shakespeare’s play in which garden gnome families fight. The action takes place in the playwright’s home. The events revolve around a rivalry between the neighbors – Mr Capulet and Mrs Montecchi. Both garden fans. Their gardens are full of gypsum gnomes figures who, when people turn away, come to life and perpetuate the owners’ hostility. Young dwarfs fall in love at first sight. A stormy romance with secret meetings develops between them. Vengeful neighbors, however, do not stop the clashes. In the last pictures, the dwarves celebrate their new world with a colorful wedding. Tybalt was able to revive by gluing pieces together. And the newlyweds are honeymooning on a purple lawnmower.
